Two days after the publication of the article in which Thales leites explained to the website SUPER FIGHTS what happened when he left the UFC (remember here), the Nova União black belt approached our team to clarify a misunderstanding.
At the time, Thales had stated that the UFC was looking for fighters who box using MMA gloves, but according to the fighter, he never wanted to discredit the event.
“I have never and will never speak negatively about the UFC, I am very grateful to them for all the opportunities to fight there,” said Thales.
“What I wanted to say is that nowadays, and even more so in America, the public likes to see striking fights and that is something that I am already working on to trust more in my stand-up game”, concluded the fighter, putting an end to the repercussions and any misunderstandings.
