Emelianenko Fedor returns to Japan on the 31st, when he will face Hong Man-Choi in one of the main fights at M-1 Yarennoka. He returns to Japan just one year after his last appearance in the land of the rising sun, when on December 31, 2006 he finished Mark Hunt. The Russian phenomenon said he was happy to be back.
“I'm happy to fight in Japan”, he told the website “MFC-M1”, “I'm happy to fight against a tough guy and I'm going to fight for my fans, to make them happy”.
Fedor revealed that he still hopes to fight Randy Couture and that the challenge made by Semmy Schilt, to face him under MMA rules, has been accepted.
Yarennoka's card has not yet been defined, and the event management is expected to announce new fights in the coming days. Names like Don Frye and Sanae Kikuta should appear on the show, which so far has the following confrontations:
