Appointed by the champion himself Alexandre pantoja as a possible next challenger for the flyweight title (up to 56,7kg.), Brandon Moreno goes against expectations and demonstrates uncertainty about the opportunity. Aware that the Brazilian wants to defend his title in UFC 301, two months after his fight this Saturday (4), the Mexican says that everything depends on how his body will be.

“I mean, I don’t know anything about May. It's a little early, you know? I just want to win and see what happens next. This sport is a little difficult, with injuries and all that. I just want to win and see how I feel, how my body feels after the fight, and see what happens”, said Moreno in an interview with ESPN.

Despite the statement, Moreno did not miss the opportunity to suggest a better date for the trilogy with Pantoja.

"That (Night UFC in Sphere) makes more sense to me. If you talk about May, it's kind of early. And the Night UFC It's in September, so that's amazing. I would have enough time to rest my body a bit and start with the new preparation. I'm always at the gym so it doesn't matter, but the problem is that in May, it's my body. But, hey, if I finish the fight in the first round, get knocked out in the first minute, and my body feels good, let's go,” he concluded.
