American Cole Province was caught in the anti-doping test carried out after WEC-42. The fighter, who beat Brazilian Frédson Paixão in the event, had the substance methasterone. Prohibited, the substance is chemically similar to drostanolone, used by Josh Barnett and Hermes França when they were caught by the California Commission.
With doping, it seems that the result of Frédson's fight should be changed to “No Contest”.
