Former UFC standout, Corey Anderson belittles Jamahal Hill's achievement: 'He didn't hit anyone'

The American veteran provoked the former owner of the belt and mocked him by stating that he didn't beat anyone from the light heavyweight elite during his journey to the title

Former UFC light heavyweight (up to 93kg) member, the American Corey anderson he didn't hold his tongue to provoke a former division champion. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the current Bellator standout provoked the former belt owner Jamahal hill and stated that he won the title without facing any elite athlete.

“He said something about, 'You'll never be this and that,' but I don't think about him. I didn't even say his name. That's the reason why it was in my inbox. I did an interview and didn't mention him as one of the best light heavyweights, so he was offended. It doesn't cross my mind or my radar. Congratulations, you won the belt, you beat a guy for the belt that I dominated a week and a half in advance. And you got cut off by him a little bit. Is that what you're bragging about? We beat the same people. The UFC's light heavyweight division isn't what it used to be. He won the belt when Rakic, Ankalaev and Blachowicz were injured. I think everyone is better than him. He didn't hit anyone. I said that and he got mad,” Anderson said.

Recovering from a serious injury suffered, Jamahal hill abandoned the light heavyweight belt, now in possession of Alex Poatán, and should face the Brazilian in the second half of 2024.

Bellator athlete since 2020, Corey anderson will fight for the light heavyweight belt in the edition scheduled for March 21st. The North American's rival will be the Irish Karl Moore.
