UFC plans fight between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver for January

It seems, Conor McGregor he should actually have one more fight before his dream fight for the UFC featherweight belt. According to the North American website “MMA Junkie”, Ultimate intends to arrange a fight between the Irishman and veteran Dennis Siver on January 18th, in the city of Boston (USA).

Although the fight has not been made official, and there is not even a verbal agreement between the parties, “MMA Junkie” cites internal UFC sources, who requested anonymity because they cannot speak publicly about possible future fights.

McGregor, 26 years old, is one of the UFC's biggest rising stars. With four wins in four fights in the octagon, the Irishman is a key player in the popularization of MMA in his country, in addition to attracting attention for his provocative manner outside of fights. In his last fight, he knocked out Dustin poirier in the first round, at UFC 178.

Siver, 35 years old, has been a UFC athlete since 2007, when he still competed at lightweight. Born in Russia, but also with German citizenship, the fighter has a record of 12 wins, six losses and one no-contest within Ultimate. In his last fight, he beat the debutant Charles Rosa in the unanimous decision of the judges, a result that confirmed him as tenth in the official UFC featherweight rankings.

So far, the UFC has not announced the January 18th event. However, according to information from the program “UFC Tonight”, on the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”, there is also a plan to get married Donald Cerrone x Myles Jury for the attraction.
