Without a booking for fights against Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison, Cris Cyborg sets a new target in MMA

After publicly asking for a fight at UFC 300, Brazilian legend turns his attention to Bellator rival

After failed attempts to face Amanda nunes e Kayla harrison, Chris Cyborg defined the next target for a fight in MMA. A living legend of the sport, the Brazilian accepted the challenge from Leah McCourt, a standout in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg) at Bellator. The athletes had already faced each other in the circular cage after the Curitiba native's last performance.

“I accept your challenge, Leah McCourt. See you in Belfast, Northern Ireland”, published Cyborg, on his profile on Instagram.

Although the confrontation is not official, Cris was willing to face her rival in 'her home'. A Bellator representative since 2019, the fighter represents Northern Ireland.

Considered by many to be the best MMA fighter of all time, Cyborg hasn't competed since October of last season. On that occasion, the Brazilian brutalized Zingano cat.

A target of Cris, McCourt has had an unstable recent trajectory at Bellator, which was recently purchased by the PFL. Number one in the ranking, the athlete has had two stumbles in the last five challenges, one of which was against the Curitiba native's latest victim.
