A veteran of national MMA, André Chatuba debuted in style at Bellator. In action in the 129th edition of the show, held on Friday night (17), in Council Bluffs, in the United States, the RFT athlete beat the North American James Terry in the unanimous decision of the judges.
A specialist in ground fighting, Chatuba surprised Terry with his striking, his rival's strong point. Despite the North American starting better, André recovered in the stand-up fight, landing the best blows and even opening a cut on his rival's face. History repeated itself in the following stages, with the Brazilian still combining with some falls. After 15 minutes, the Tupiniquim athlete won by a triple 30×27.
In the main fight of the night, valid for the welterweight division (up to 77 kg.), former UFC fighter Paul Bradley defeated Josh Neer, another athlete with a stint in the UFC, in a unanimous decision by the judges (30×27, 30×27 , 30×27).
