McGregor vs Chandler at middleweight? Dana White would have denied fighting and revealed the situation behind the scenes; understand

Amid high expectations for the eventual return of Conor McGregor to the octagon, Dana White anticipated and announced a possible postponement of the next fight for the ‘Notório’. In information released by Tim Micallef, the president of the organization informed that the star has no rival, date and category defined for his next appearance. Despite the refusal, the president reinforced that the fight is still expected to be scheduled for 2024.

Announced at the beginning of January, McGregor surprised by declaring that he would face Michael chandler in the middleweight category (up to 83,9kg.) on June 29, in ‘International Fight Week’. Despite the speech, the organization did not comment on the matter to make the duel official. On the other hand, the North American demonstrated that he agreed with the Irishman's information and showed no discomfort in presenting himself two divisions above what he is used to.

Inactive since breaking his ankle in a duel against Dustin poirier No. UFC 264, in 2021, Conor flirts with a return, but has difficulty making it happen. Expected to perform after starring in 'The Ultimate Fighter' with Chandler, the Irishman stayed away from the octagon and said he would make 'the sport's biggest comeback' this year.

So far, McGregor and Chandler have not commented on Dana White's speech.

Previously, Dana White told @tim_micallef That Conor McGregor will fight again this year, but his opponent, return date and weight class have not been confirmed at this time.
