Ricardo Cachorrão ready for Kendall Grove

Ricardo “Cachorrão” Almeida is ready to step into the UFC octagon this Saturday to face Kendall grove, in the fight that will mark the Brazilian's farewell to the middleweight division. The Renzo Gracie black belt commented to the English magazine Fights Only Magazine on his preparation for the fight.

“Perhaps Grove is the UFC’s greatest athlete. So he brought tall guys to train jiu-jitsu, Greco-Roman and stand-up fighting. The preparation was great and I’m confident of winning,” said Cachorrão, who reaffirmed his intention to move down to the welterweight category.

“I'm not thinking about fighting for the title now, as I'm going down in weight after this fight. But a victory over Kendall would help me get closer to the belt, but it will depend on my performance in the welterweight division”, concluded the Brazilian.
