Felipe Mongo wins WFC Pozil main fight

The second edition of WFC Pozil thrilled the Gaucho public at Expogramado this Saturday. Both the super fights and the RS x RJ challenge heated up the temperature and excited the crowd. The victory went to Rio de Janeiro, but by a tight score (3 to 2). In the international fight, Felipe Arinelli, known as Mongo, triumphed after a tough battle against Uruguay's Sebastian La Torre.

After getting good takedowns and punishing in the first round, Mongo brought even more fire in the follow-up, when he went all out with his open striking. Sebastian didn't give up and, even with a heavy nose bleed, he also went for it. In the end, the victory went to the Brazilian by split decision, a surprising judgment given that, despite the foreigner's efforts, Mongo was superior in every round. In the other international superfight Marcelo Alfaia, Grilo, ended up winning by WO. Opponent Manu Garcia (Spain) did not show up after claiming to have missed his flight. In yet another superfight, Miquel Falcão maintained his reputation as a knockout artist and won for the 23rd time this way, against Arimarcel Chocolate. After falling to the ground on top, Falcão punched until referee Paulo Borracha interrupted.

The South started the challenge against Rio well. In a fight with good moments for both sides, Felipe Lavandoski beat Leonardo Tangerina by split decision. Then it was Eduardo Pachu's turn to take action and equalize the score. Upon his return to the ring after participating in the Fury FC GP, against Nelson Velasques, the Rio native needed little time to take down and knock him out with punches from his mount. “I’m back,” he celebrated.
