In recent months, the world of celebrities has been in uproar due to the “Fappening” – as the series of publications of intimate photos and videos of hundreds of stars collected through a security flaw in the IOS operating system, from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),. Since the leak of photos of Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, several actresses, singers and athletes have had their privacy exposed on the internet. And the next victim could come from the world of MMA: the former UFC belt challenger Miesha Tate.
According to the website “Business Insider”, two hackers known as “realpsamathe” and “Sets Ahoy” “have tried to commercialize photos of dozens of celebrities, including Miesha Tate, for the price of US$350 (approximately R$840) each on the German website “Volafile”. The report, however, did not say whether the authenticity of the images has already been confirmed or even whether the content remains available on the network after its existence came to light.
At 28, Miesha Tate has a professional record of 15 wins and five losses. Former champion of the extinct Strikeforce, “Cupcake”, as she is known, comes from a victory over Japanese Rin Nakai on September 20th, at UFC Fight Night 52. Current number two in the official Ultimate rankings, Miesha has been the target of speculation in recent days linking her to a likely fight against Sara McMann, third place in the women's bantamweight category.
