the fight between José Aldo e Chad Mendes, the main attraction of UFC 179 and which will put the featherweight belt at stake on October 25th, is one of the most anticipated of the second half of the UFC calendar. Urijah faber he knows both fighters well and believes that the title will change hands at the end of the month.
The “California Kid” is Mendes' training partner on the Alpha Male team and has faced Aldo in the past, in 2010, still in the WEC. Faber had plenty of praise for both fighters, but sees his friend as having a better chance of coming away with victory.
“Aldo is the best pound-for-pound fighter I've ever fought, and Chad is the best pound-for-pound guy I've ever trained with in the gym. Chad is a guy who has a long history as a wrestler, and he's a completely different wrestler now. I think we're going to see Chad ending the fight in the fourth round, with the ground and pound or submission”, said Faber, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.
