Eduardo Dantas has “blood in his eyes” to defend the Bellator bantamweight belt this Friday (10), when he will face Joe Warren in Thackerville, in the North American state of Oklahoma.

The Brazilian, who will make his third defense, guaranteed that the time away from fighting due to injury has left him with even more appetite. His last fight was in March, and in May he would have faced Warren at Bellator 118, but he left the commitment after getting injured.

“If I fight someone, I'm going to kill them,” said the Brazilian, in an interview with the “Yahoo Sports” website, without seeming bothered by Warren's provocations, who, 12 years older (37 versus 25), said that Dantas is a “child”. “Yes, I am younger. I'm also much faster and much more aggressive precisely because I'm younger.”

Dantas also criticized Bellator for creating an interim belt in his absence, won by Warren. “I think it’s good for him. He's an old guy, so it's good for him to have a belt. He may be happy now, but come Friday, he won’t be.”

While Eduardo Dantas maintains a more discreet speech, Joe Warren does not hold his tongue and made several criticisms of the Brazilian just a few days before the fight. According to the North American, Dudu did everything he could to avoid a fight between them.

“Eduardo Dantas is a champion who is afraid and runs away from his opponents. I've been trying to fight this guy for a long time. He's a kid – what can we expect? Champions stay there and defend their belts. Champions don't run. I don’t know if he’ll be able to handle the pressure I’m going to impose”, declared Warren, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.
