Paulo borrachinha was not shaken by the words of Jailton Malhadinho, who accused him of bad character and speaking badly about Brazilians in the organization. On his official account on “X” (formerly Twitter), the Minas Gerais native, who is a former challenger for the UFC, he responded to the Bahian with irony and sarcasm.

“I’ll send a thousand reais to whoever can explain the obvious to this guy,” wrote Borrachinha, who hasn’t competed in more than a season and is looking to return to the Octagon at the beginning of 2024.

Borrachinha's phrase can be interpreted as a way of saying that he says what he says for the money, to promote fights and gain prestige in the UFC. He did not respond effusively to Malhadinho's comments, but made it clear that he did not care about his opinion.

Malhadinho's criticism came during the podcast 'Nem Me Viu', in which he was invited by the presenter Fabricio Werdum. The Brazilian standout in the UFC heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) surprised when he stated that “this guy deserves the (dog ass) belt”. He was referring to Borrachinha.

Jailton said he had nothing against his compatriot before, but that he was outraged by some episodes of what he did against Brazilians. He cited as examples charles do brox e Carlos Boi.

“I will never talk about the guy who looked for his story. Talk about Charles (From the Bronx), from Carlos Boi. He never trained with Carlos Boi in life. (…) He IS the king of 'dog c*cks'. He deserves it very much. (…) Bad character, who speaks ill of Brazilians, make history in the UFC. It can't be like that. You have to put your feet on the ground and be humble too”, said Malhadinho.

The Bahian is one of the promises of the UFC's heavyweight category (up to 120,2kg) and is undefeated in the organization. In November, he won Derrick Lewis by unanimous decision of the judges and got closer to the chance to compete for an interim title in the category.

Borrachinha is a former UFC middleweight title challenger and has a record of 14 positive results and two negative results. He is preparing to return to the organization's octagon in 2024.
