During his visit to Brazil, Ronda Rousey demonstrated that the reputation of evil that precedes it may not be so justified, except when the matter goes through Chris Cyborg. Always friendly, smiling and complimentary, the blonde completely changes her tone when talking about her rival. During an interview, Ronda criticized Cyborg's stance regarding a hypothetical fight between them and said that the Brazilian embarrasses the sport and her country.

“I think she's saying one thing and doing another. I've always been here, I've never gone anywhere. I'm the champion, I fight whoever comes along. She's the one with options, not me. I'm exactly where I was when she left, so she can come back, try any time and she'll get what she deserves. She shames not only women's MMA and the sport, she shames her country too. And I'm very happy to be able to make that clear”, said the UFC champion, in an interview with the “Combate” channel broadcast on YouTube.

To justify her point of view, Rousey once again cited the Brazilian's doping episode, caught in her last fight for Strikeforce, and the way her rival didn't agree with Ultimate. “I definitely want this fight to happen. But look, she says she desperately wants to fight me, so why when they announced the drug tests for our fight did she ask to be released from her UFC contract? If you want a fight so bad, you come and face me. You don’t run away from what you want,” she said.

At 27, Ronda Rousey has a perfect professional record of ten wins in ten fights. Bantamweight champion of the now defunct Strikeforce and the only holder of the UFC women's 61,2 kg division belt, Ronda is constantly linked to a possible fight against Chris Cyborg. Seen as the biggest obstacle to the duel, the difference in category between the two rivals is about to cease to exist, as Cyborg will move down from the featherweight division to the bantamweight division in December, at the Invicta FC event.
