A few days after being rehired by Ultimate and confirmed in the fight against Hector Lombard At UFC 182, American Josh Brukman was the subject of a huge controversy on social media. This is because, through your official profile on Twitter, Burkman was involved in an argument with former Bellator champion Ben Askren in which he hinted that he may have purposely lost a fight in WSOF to return to the Octagon.

“He takes a beating from Steve Carl and then he is hired to face the third best in the world. Makes a lot of sense. That’s the UFC’s logic”, asked Askren ironically on the microblogging network. “Ben Askren, everyone knows I lost that fight to get released from my contract. Nobody releases champions. Only one belt matters (the UFC one), that’s why you’re bitter”, countered Burkman,
