Preparing in the United States to face Jorge Santiago in the third edition of Affliction, Vitor belfort was hastily called in to replace Josh barnett and face the Russian beast Fedor Emelianenkoo at the show, August 1st in California. The fighter was surprised this Friday with the cancellation of the show and says he is shocked.
“I'm shocked, everything was confirmed, my fight against Fedor was already certain and now this news of the cancellation comes,” said Vitor in an interview with fellow journalist Gustavo Noblat.
Belfort also stated that he did not know the real reasons for canceling the event.
