After much promise, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) aljamain sterling finally made the decision official. I go in and win a fight against a guy like Max Holloway, I mean, I don't think there's anyone else to face. This guy is the one who is literally banning all contenders one by one, so if he's going to keep dispatching these guys, I'm new blood, a new face. He has nothing to do now. The 'Funk Master' won the bantamweight belt in 2021 and defended the title three consecutive times. Last August, Sterling was dethroned when he was brutally knocked out by star Sean O'Malley in the UFC 292. The North American has an MMA record of 23 victories and four setbacks.
