“I'm 34 years old and I weigh a little more than 81kg. I'm about 1,71'61" and that's a good, healthy weight for me. I'm not fat. I don't know how I manage to weigh XNUMXkg and I don't know how I managed to do it for so long. People can say whatever they want. That's the only way I know how to compete from college wrestling to now in MMA. It’s not easy, but I always manage it,” Sterling said on the former UFC champion’s podcast. Demetrious Johnson.

When asked about a possible rival for his debut, Sterling didn't sit on the fence, he asked to face the former champion Max Holloway and hinted that a win over 'The Blessed' could put him straight into a title shot.

“I guess if I’m going to go up, why not shoot for the stars? For me, going to fight an average fighter doesn't make much sense. What does that do for me? I go in and win a fight against a guy like Max Holloway, I mean, I don't think there's anyone else to face. This guy is the one who is literally banning all contenders one by one, so if he's going to keep dispatching these guys, I'm new blood, a new face. He has nothing to do now. I think the UFC 300 it could be a good card for that”, concluded Sterling.
