After receiving the punishment, Jones said he respected the decision made by the Nevada Athletic Commission. However, the champion did not fail to express his concern about the 40 hours of community service he will have to perform.

This is because Jones carries out his training at Jackson’s MMA, located in the city of Albuquerque, in the state of New Mexico, which is more than 900 km away from Las Vegas. While Cormier will be able to do his hours in San Jose, California, where he trains, Jones will have to travel to Nevada and do all his community service before the fight.

“The 40 hours of community service in Vegas, with a fight coming up, is the only thing that worries me. The fact that these hours have to be completed before combat is definitely something that will affect my training. But I respect the commission’s decision,” Jones wrote on his Twitter account.
