Little by little, the UFC on FOX 13 card, which takes place on December 13th, is being taken over by duels between heavyweights. After confirmation of alistair overeem x Stefan struve and the disclosure that the duel between Junior Gypsy e Stipe Miocic should also happen on fight night, the duel between the Brazilian Gabriel Napao and North American Matt Mitrione was third in the 120 kg division associated with the event in Phoenix (USA).
At 35, Gabriel Gonzaga, “Napão”, has a professional record of 16 wins and eight losses. Former challenger for the heavyweight belt, the Rio native comes from a defeat to Stipe Miocic in January. Matt Mitrione, 36, has a record of eight wins and three losses. “Meathead”, as he is known, comes from two consecutive victories over Shawn Jordan and Derrick Lewis. Information about the fight between Napão and Mitrione was released by Ultimate through the website of the North American channel “FOX Sports”, a partner of the organization.
UFC on FOX 13 takes place on December 13th, at the US Airway Center, in Phoenix, in the US state of Arizona. In addition to the confirmation of Napão x Mitrione, and the announcement of the intention to promote Cigano x Miocic, the card had four other official fights, they are: alistair overeem x Stefan struve, Derek Brunson x Ed Herman, Jamie Varner x Drew dober and Joe Ellenberger x Bryan barberena.
