The war of words between Ronda Rousey e Chris Cyborg added another chapter last week. The Brazilian fighter did not like the statements by the UFC champion during her visit to Brazil, stating that the North American uses low strategies to gain notoriety in the media.

“What she says means nothing to me. The person is visiting my country and trying to defame me in front of my fans to get attention. This shows how rude she is. She is a short person. She needs to step on someone to grow”, criticized Cyborg, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

“It's funny that she says I disgraced the sport and my country, but everyone wants to see me fight with her. This must frustrate you. If you think about it, there are few people who have never fought in the UFC and are still well-known. I'm proud to know that I've never needed an event to promote myself, and I've never had to lie about anyone. I am known all over the world for my talent and for my team, Chute Boxe”, continued the Brazilian, who, currently fighting in the Invicta event, has a record of 12 wins and just one loss.

During her visit to the country, Ronda said she wanted a fight against Bethe “Pitbull” Correia in Brazil, and Cyborg sees her attitude as an attempt to avoid facing her. “As always, Ronda is trying to choose her next opponent. She's running away from me and asking to fight Bethe. If she is as sure of herself as she says she is, she would have already agreed to fight me like she accepted to fight Gina Carano, Cain Velazquez, Floyd Mayweather. Grow up, Ronda”, concluded the fighter.
