With victories over two teammates from Ronda Rousey and a strategy based on aggressive and targeted marketing, the Brazilian Beth Pitbull appears to have managed to catch the UFC champion's attention. During a chat with the press in Brasília (DF), last weekend, Ronda revealed that she wants to face Bethe and said that she would like the confrontation to take place at her opponent's house.
“I want to fight Bethe. I actually want to fight her in Brazil. I think it would be an incredible event and I would like to be part of this event”, said Rousey, who praised the Brazilian's promotional efforts. “This part is important, because the fight becomes not only about who is better, but also about who is right. I think it's very smart what she's doing. She’s not going to win, but it’s very smart what she’s doing,” she commented.
So much Beth Pitbull as Ronda Rousey are undefeated in their MMA careers. The 31-year-old Brazilian won the nine fights she had, the last three as an Ultimate athlete. Ronda, 27 years old, has ten wins as a professional, all by knockout or submission. The blonde has been the women's bantamweight champion since the category debuted in the UFC and has successfully defended her belt four times.
