The Sengoku organization announced the first athletes for the card of the tenth edition of the show, which takes place on September 23, in Saitama, Japan. In addition to the Americans Ryan Schultz and Joe Doerksen, the Brazilian Antonio “Pezão” Silva was confirmed at the event, with no opponent yet defined.
Pezão, who fought a real battle with the California Athletic Commission, has his suspension for doping ending at the end of this month of July. With this, the Brazilian will be able to return to fight in the United States soon, as informed by his manager Alex Davis.
“After fighting (at Sengoku) it is possible to return to the United States”, informed the businessman, who continued speculating in which organization Pezão could fight.
"Who knows? It could be UFC, it could be Strikeforce, it could be Affliction – where he would have good fights. Antonio needs fights against big names”, concluded Davis, in an interview with the website MMA Junkie.
