After a fulminating start, Tibau loses steam, but wins by split decision

PUBLICITY:

In the first round, Tibau started with everything and hit Hallmann with a straight right, which shook his rival. Dominant in both striking and takedowns, the Brazilian was only threatened with two kicks to the waist by the Pole. In the second round, Gleison maintained an intense pace and managed to land the most powerful blows. Halfway through the session, however, visibly more tired, the American Top Team athlete invested more in the clinch to preserve his strength and saw his opponent level the playing field.

In the last round, Tibau lost his performance and ended up suffering a deep cut on his right eyebrow, after a knee in the clinch applied by Hallmann. After the fight was stopped to assist him, the Brazilian returned ready to take the lead in the partial and managed an important takedown. In the end, after the end of regulation time, Gleison Tibau was declared the winner by two of the three judges and won by split decision.

Argentine 'xente good' wins Brazilian

PUBLICITY:

In the fight between Brazil x Argentina, better for 'hermano' Santiago Ponzinibbio against Wendell Negão from Rio. The 'Argentine xente good', as he became known in TUF Brasil 2, showed that the time away from the octagon didn't matter and he showed great progress in the stand-up fight.

In the first few moves, Santiago accepted the exchange of punches with Wendell, a stand-up specialist. After dodging the Brazilian's attacks, the Argentine closed the distance and unleashed a beautiful combination of blows.

After the first punches landed in Wendell's guard, a straight punch went straight to the face and Negão bent his knees. Ponzinibbio wasted no time, continuing the punishment until referee Mario Yamazaki interrupted the contest after 1m20s of fighting.

Wendell Negão still tried to contest the mediator's decision, but the Brazilian clearly failed with the blows connected by Santiago.
