UFC president Dana White is the newest belt holder on the block. However, the achievement took place outside any ring or octagon: he was awarded by the Palms Casino Resort, in Las Vegas (USA) as a way of congratulating him for the US$ 2 million won there during games of Blackjack, also known in Brazil like 21.
Because of this, White recently had a love-hate relationship with the casino's management. In the last two years, the manager was banned twice from placing bets at the venue, as Palms representatives judged the amount pocketed by the UFC boss to be too high. After receiving the belt, White posted a photo of the piece on his Instagram account, with the caption saying “it was fun kicking your ass!”
With the reconciliation, the possibility of the UFC returning to holding events at the venue opens up, as the MMA organization severed ties with the casino following the friction involving White. The last edition of the UFC at the Palms was in July 2012, in the TUF 15 final.
