The lawsuit filed by Colby covington after an attack carried out by Jorge masvidal has come to an end. This Monday (6), in a Miami Court (USA), the MMA veteran pleaded guilty to the episode involving his former friend in a local restaurant in mid-2022. After a statement in front of the judge and his defense lawyer ( Brad Cohen), the charges were dropped, sealing an agreement between the parties.
According to 'MMA Junkie', with the end of the process, 'Jesus das Ruas' was not arrested. The former MMA fighter, however, must appear in court when summoned, in addition to bearing the costs of the process.

Moments after the verdict, Masvidal took the moment to send a message to his opponent.
“I won the case. I'm a free man. Fuck you, Colby. Now, this is going to be made into a movie. All orders, restraining orders, are over. This is going to be turned into a movie,” said Masvidal, in a video posted on Instagram.
The controversy between Masvidal and Covington
UFC highlights for years, Masvidal and Covington were best friends during part of their MMA careers. The athletes, who even shared an apartment, had their relationship shaken after Colby ended up being expelled from the renowned 'American Top Team' academy.
Outside the team, Covington began publicly criticizing and provoking his former teammates. The action of 'Chaos' displeased 'Jesus das Ruas' and exchanges of barbs via social media and the press became frequent.
