The members of the UFC Fight Night 50 main card monopolized the night's prizes, offered to the athletes with the best performance and who starred in the best fight of the event. One of the highlights was the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare, which ended Gegard Mousasi in the main fight. Jacaré won the “Performance of the Night” bonus, taking home US$50 (around R$112).
The other athlete to be awarded a bonus for his performance was heavyweight Ben Rothwell. “Big Ben”, as he is known, overtook the favorite alistair overeem in the co-main fight of the night and won by knockout. For his triumph, Rothwell received the same amount as Jacaré.
But the most remarkable achievement among all the award winners was due to Joe lauzon, who had his victory over Michael chiesa considered the “Fight of the Night”. With another bonus, J-Lau reached the mark of 12 bonuses in the UFC and, in addition to the US$ 50 thousand (R$ 122 thousand), also paid to Chiesa, he became an isolated record holder in the organization's history.
