Antonio Pezão is ready for your fight against Andrei Arlovski, which will be the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 51 in Brasília (DF), on September 13th. The heavyweight highlighted the good work done during his training and assured that he will be prepared to fight five rounds in the rematch against the Belarusian, whom he already defeated in 2010.
To sharpen his striking, Pezão had the help of Vitor miranda, runner-up in the heavyweight division of TUF Brazil 3. “I did very specific training on the stand-up side and I'm feeling really good. I had the opportunity to bring the Vitor miranda and Augusto Sakai, who are great strikers, to help me with my work here in the United States. I'm physically fit and ready to fight five rounds. I need to be prepared for everything that happens in combat. I don’t like to promise results, but what I can guarantee is that I will do my best inside the octagon”, said the fighter.
The fight will be Pezão's debut in Brazilian territory, as he has never played in the country since he debuted in the sport in 2005. Pezão said he was calm just a few days before fighting in front of the Brazilian fans. “It will be a great experience to be fighting for the first time in Brazil as a professional. I'm very calm about this fight, since for the first time I'll have the crowd behind me. I think in all my fights I came in against the crowd and as an underdog. This time everything will be different and I'm very happy about it. I really want to get into the gym to feel the energy of the Brazilian public”, concluded the heavyweight.
