Frank mir, former UFC heavyweight champion, agreed to a third fight against Rodrigo Minotauro, even showing himself open to holding the fight in Brazil if Ultimate so wishes.

Minotaur, who comes from defeats against Fabricio Werdum e Roy Nelson, expressed his desire to have two more fights by the end of 2015, when he would retire from MMA. Among his desired opponents would be Mir, who has already defeated him twice, in 2008 and 2011.

“I know he wants to have the last fight with me. For me there's no problem in doing this third fight, but the UFC has to agree. Some people say that having beaten him twice there would be no reason to risk it, but I'm not going to deny this fight. I know he will want it to be in Brazil and not in the United States, but that's ok, I have fans here and it wouldn't be completely enemy territory”, said Mir, in an interview with the website “Globo Esporte”.

Mir is also going through a bad phase, with four consecutive defeats (to junior gypsy, Daniel Cormier, Josh Barnett and alistair overeem). For this reason, the American veteran is already being asked about his retirement from fighting. “Two things I will consider for retirement. The first is if I start losing to fighters that nobody knows, without expression. The second, and most important, is that my children are growing up. I have baseball games to catch and appointments at their school. There is a moment when I want to spend more time with them and life as a fighter makes that difficult. It's likely to happen when they start to enter adolescence”, said the fighter, who has three children, aged 10, 8 and 5.
