World champion boxer Kell Brook was hospitalized this Thursday (4) after being stabbed in the leg while on vacation on the island of Tenerife, Spain.
According to the 28-year-old fighter's representatives, his condition is stable and there is no risk of death, although he lost a lot of blood as a result of the incident. There are still not many details of what caused the incident, and local police have not made any arrests.
Interestingly, this is the second time Brook has been stabbed. In 2007, in his hometown of Sheffield (England), he suffered injuries to his torso and buttocks during a fight.
Brook won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight world title on August 16, when he defeated American Shawn Porter by majority decision.
