Karate Combat will arrive in Las Vegas to hold its 43rd edition on December 15th. And the organization's debut in the 'Mecca' of combat sports will rekindle an old rivalry in the main event. Former UFC lightweight champions Anthony Pettis e Ben henderson they will do the trilogy in the event's pit (arena).

Valid in the welterweight category (up to 75kg), the fight that was officially signed this Thursday (26) is considered the most important in the history of the brand, which took three years to obtain the license from the Nevada Athletic Commission and, with therefore, be authorized to hold events in Las Vegas.
Pettis and Henderson faced each other for the first time in 2010, at WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting). The fight went down in history as 'fight of the year' and one of the most spectacular in the organization. In addition to winning on points and winning the belt, Pettis showed the world the iconic 'showtime kick', a kick in which he uses the grating of the fighting arena as support to jump and launch the blow. Three years later, the two faced each other again, at UFC 164. Pettis won again, this time submitting his opponent with an armbar in the first round.

Let's give Henderson the chance to finally pay it forward in Las Vegas, the biggest stage in the world for our sport. And you can be sure that this is just the beginning”, said the president of Karate Combat Asim Zaidi.
Pettis' most recent performance was in April of this year. He debuted in boxing and beat the legendary champion Roy Jones Jr, by majority decision. Henderson last fought in March, at Bellator, when he was submitted by the Russian Usman Nurmagomedov. After the fight, he announced his retirement from the fighting world, but the chance of a new confrontation with his old rival made him revive his career.
