Series about Anderson Silva's life and career has a release date announced; see the trailer

Paramount+ documentary series tells the story of the boy who became UFC champion; the production arrives on November 16th on streaming

The life and career of Anderson Silva, one of the greatest fighters in MMA of history, will be portrayed in an original series on Paramount+, Paramount's global streaming platform. The production, titled “Anderson Spider Silva”, will have five episodes and will debut on November 16th, exclusively in Brazil. Other Latin American countries will also be able to follow.

The series is based on real events and portrays the personal life of Anderson Silva, from difficulties and challenges to redemption as champion and one of the biggest names in UFC history.

The series' cast includes renowned actors, such as William Nascimento, who plays Anderson Silva in adulthood and Seu Jorge, who plays Tio Benedito, the fighter's mentor. Minotauro will also be represented in the series by actor Dudu Azevedo.

Anderson Silva is a UFC legend

A reference in mixed martial arts, 'Spider' represented the UFC between 2006 and 2020. For the company, the fighter starred in emblematic performances, such as winning the middleweight title over Rich Franklin, the 'ball' in front of Forrest griffin, in 2009, the epic turn against Chael Sonnen, in 2010, and the apotheotic knockout against Vitor belfort, in the 'Fight of the Century', in 2011.

Outside the organization since the end of 2020, Anderson Silva holds significant records in the company. The fighter leads the list for the highest number of consecutive victories, with 16; longest reign in the company, with 2457 days, and stands out as the athlete who scored the most knockdowns in Ultimate, with 13, in addition to remaining tied for the lead as the greatest knockout artist in middleweight history.
