Next Saturday (30), Renan Barao e TJ Dillashaw will have their long-awaited rematch for the bantamweight belt at UFC 177. Another prominent fighter in the weight class, Urijah faber has great knowledge about the two athletes: he has already faced Barão twice, losing both, and is Dillashaw's training partner on the Team Alpha Male team.
In an interview with the official UFC website, Faber said he is betting that the rematch will have a similar outcome to the first fight, which saw Dillashaw win by technical knockout in the final stages of the fight. “TJ’s style and his strength will be a problem for Barão again. I think TJ wins in the fourth round, by technical knockout. Again, Barão is very tough, but as the fight goes on, the fact that he cuts a lot of weight will influence it”, said Faber.
The “California Kid” highlighted Dillashaw’s dedication within the gym. “I think you need to see him train to understand, but the secret is that TJ is a little crazy. He has a strong personality, trains very hard, shouts and gets angry during training. He is a perfectionist. TJ is also very competitive”, he praised.
