The name of War Machine, a former UFC and Bellator fighter, was constantly in the news after he seriously attacked his ex-girlfriend, pornographic film actress Christy Mack. However, the controversies involving the fighter are older than anyone imagined.

Ken Shamrock, former MMA fighter and member of the UFC Hall of Fame, revealed that he had a major disagreement with War Machine, whose given name is Jon Koppenhaver, last decade. According to Shamrock, Koppenhaver took his then teenage daughter to Mexico and abandoned her there.

“The sad thing is, I was with Jon when he was starting out. When he arrived in MMA, I was the one who brought him to San Diego. I had problems with him. Jon, who was about 20 years old, took my 17-year-old daughter to Mexico and left her there. He ended up disappearing and I haven't seen him since. He has been hiding from me because he knows that if I find him, I will break his neck”, said Shamrock, in an interview with the website “MMA Canada”.

Despite the disagreement, Shamrock recognizes that War Machine needs closer professional support. “He was always a problem. He need help. He’s not going to do it alone, he needs someone to get him into some kind of rehab,” he commented.
