After almost three years away from fighting, Dominick Cruz He will finally make his return in September, when he will face Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178, in Las Vegas (USA). Despite being attractive, the former bantamweight champion's fight is not among the biggest highlights of the event, as it will be part of the attraction's preliminary card.
Cruz and Mizugaki will take part in the last fight on the event's preliminary list, which will be broadcast on cable TV in the United States via the “FOX Sports” channel. Occasionally the UFC chooses to put big names on the preliminary card in order to boost sales. pay-per-view for the following fights – a recent example was the fight between Urijah faber e Alex Caceres, which closed the UFC 175 preliminary card in May.
The main card of the event should be the fight between Amanda nunes e Zingano cat, valid for the female bantamweight category. Next, Tim Kennedy measures forces with Yoel romero. Finally, there will be Dustin poirier x Conor McGregor, Donald Cerrone x Eddie Alvarez and the main fight of the night, Demetrious Johnson and Chris Cariaso, valid for the flyweight belt.
