Jussier Formiga reaches the top 5 among flyweights after victory over Makovsky

Brazilian left behind two former challengers for the under-57 kg category belt; Pearson enters top 15 with victory

UFC Fight Night 47, held last Saturday (16), generated changes in the organization's official rankings. Jussier formiga, who scored his second consecutive victory by dominating Zach Makovsky, jumped into the top 5 of the flyweight division, in fourth place, leaving behind former title challengers Ali Bagautinov and John Moraga.

The Brazilian is only behind John Dodson, Joseph Benavidez and Ian McCall on the list of the category, which has as champion Demetrious Johnson. Another Tupiniquim athlete to appear in the flyweight rankings is John Lineker, seventh.

Ross Pearson, who defeated Gray Maynard in the same event, it starts to appear in the official UFC rankings, which only includes the 15 best placed in each division. The Englishman jumped to 14th place, just ahead of Maynard, removing him from the list Joe lauzon.
