After winning his first fight as an Ultimate athlete, with a split decision over Chris Camozzi on July 5th, Brazilian Bruno Carioca already has a date set to return to the Octagon. On October 4th, in Halifax (Canada), Bruno faces TUF Nations champion and undefeated professional Elias Theodorou at UFC Fight Night 54.
At 27 years old, Bruno “Carioca” Santos has a record of 14 wins and just one defeat, suffered precisely in his Ultimate debut against Krzysztof Jotko. Elias Theodorou has nine wins in nine fights as a professional. In his last fight, the “Spartan”, as he is known, beat Sheldon Westcott and won the “TUF Nations: Canada x Australia” title in the middleweight category.
In addition to the duel between Bruno and Theodorou, five other fights were announced for the UFC Fight Night 54 card in Canada, they are: Chad Laprise x Yosdenis Cedeno, Mitch Gagnon x aljamain sterling, Olivier Aubin-Mercier x Jake Lindsey, Jason Saggo x Paul felder and Matt Dwyer vs. Albert Tumenov.
