Last Friday (08), fighter War Machine, a participant in the sixth edition of TUF and who had his last professional fight for Bellator, was declared a fugitive by the Las Vegas police (USA) on charges of domestic violence against his girlfriend, porn actress Christy Mack, and another unidentified person. For the first time since the incident, Christy spoke out publicly, through her profile on Twitter, and tried to deny a version that has been circulating on social media that the athlete had started the attack after catching her with another man, who was also an MMA fighter.

“War Machine entered (the house) and found Mack having sex with another MMA fighter. It is not an excuse to be violent or attack a woman. I'm just expressing this. Fact”, wrote a user on the social network. “Actually, that’s not a fact,” Christy responded. Mack also received support from another famous porn actress, Jenna Jameson, who released a short text about what happened on her official profile on Instagram. “Please everyone pray for my amazing and beautiful friend Christy Mack. She is in hospital with serious injuries caused by her ex. She is a beautiful soul and I know she will have the courage to bring charges against War Machine. I know her friend and I pray for him too. My heart also goes out to his family,” wrote Jenna, his ex-wife. Tito Ortiz, who promptly received Christy's thanks.

Shortly after the news broke, Bellator announced the dismissal of War Machine from its roster of athletes. “We have a zero tolerance policy at Bellator when it comes to any type of domestic violence and after being notified of the incident involving Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine, Bellator is releasing him from his contract with the organization,” said organization president Scott Coker, through an official note.

Even though he was on the run, War Machine dared to declare his innocence on social media

Despite being wanted by the Las Vegas police, War Machine used his official profile on Twitter to declare his innocence in the case. To this end, the fighter kept his location anonymous in the messages, which were mostly forwarded to his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, and some of them presented the same version denied by his ex-partner – that there had been betrayal.

“I'm not a bad guy, I went to surprise my girlfriend, help her set up her show and give her an engagement ring and I ended up fighting for my life.”

“The police officers will never play fair with me, they will never believe me. They keep deciding what to do, but in the end it's all about a broken heart.”

“I just wish that man wasn't there and that Christy and I were happily engaged. I don't know why I'm so cursed. One day the truth will come out.”

“I love you and I hope you are well. I arrived early to surprise you and to help you prepare for your convention. I can't believe what I found and I can't believe what happened. All I wanted was to surprise you and help you do something cool.”

“My heart is so broken… In every way. I will always love you"

“I just wanted to see your face when I surprised you with the ring… This is a nightmare. You are in my thoughts"
