The year 2023 has been marked by many anti-doping tests carried out by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) on fighters from the UFC. The entity released an update on the most tested athletes this year and the Brazilian Paulo borrachinha leads the list, with 33 samples collected.
The middleweight (up to 83,9kg.), who has already joked about the issue on social media using the hashtag 'Secret Juice', is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Luke Rockhold and prepare to face Khamzat Shimaev No. UFC 294, on October 21th.

In second place on the list of most tested is Charles Johnson, with 26 tests. The flyweight (up to 56,7kg) debuted in the UFC in July 2022 and, since then, has had five fights – four in 2023 alone.
Third place is another Brazilian: Ariane Sorriso, with 23 tests. The strawweight (up to 52,1kg) is one of the strongest fighters in the category and has four appearances – with two wins and two losses – in the organization.
In addition to Borrachinha, other Brazilians appear on the list
Other Brazilians who appear on the list of those most tested by USADA are Jessica Stacker (19 tests), Elizeu Capoeira (14 tests) and Amanda nunes (13 tests).
USADA has been the entity responsible for the UFC's anti-doping program since 2015 and carries out surprise tests on fighters throughout the year. Athletes who are caught using prohibited substances may be punished with suspensions or fines.
