This Wednesday, the organization announced that the 100th edition of the show will be broadcast live throughout Mexico on Televisa, one of the largest television stations in the world. And the UFC's plans in Mexico don't stop there, according to president Dana White the show should arrive in the country in 2010
“Of course, our main goal is to do the event live in Mexico next year. We always knew we would have to enter the Mexican market,” he said.
“Mexico is like the USA, professional wrestling is very strong; but we know that there are fans who really like fighting. We know we had to build a solid base in the USA. Now the biggest pay-per-view event in the world. We beat boxing and WWE, now Mexico is our priority”, concluded Dana White, in an interview with the American website MMA Payout.
