Deiveson Figueiredo responds to criticism from Aljamain Sterling and aims for bantamweight belt

Former UFC flyweight champion says he is happier and healthier in the new division and will do his best against Rob Font

Former flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) of the UFC, Deiveson Figueiredo was not intimidated by the statements of aljamain sterling, who doubted his success in the bantamweight division. The Brazilian, who will have his first fight in the new category against Rob font in December, he stated that he has the heart of a lion and is ready to face any challenge.

In an interview with the Trocação Franca podcast, Deiveson responded to criticism from Sterling, who bet on the “God of War” losing to Font due to his physical disadvantage. The North American, who lost the bantamweight belt to Sean O'Malley in August, said that Font will “turn off the lights” of Figueiredo.

The man from Pará, who lost the flyweight title to Brandon Moreno In January, he revealed that he feels happier and healthier in the new division, without needing to cut so much weight. He also said that he hired sleep scientists to improve his performance and that he plans to retire in three years.
