The city of São Paulo experienced a night of many emotions on Saturday night with breathtaking duels in the fifth edition of MMA Super Heroes. With maximum capacity, the Mané Garrincha gymnasium hosted seven busy fights and even managed to collect more than a thousand liters of milk for the PIVI institute (life incentive project). In the main fight of the event, lightweight Leandro”Buscapé defeated Gilson Lomanto with a beautiful knockout in the first round.
Responsible for the main fight of the night, Leandro “Buscape” and Gilson Lomanto entered the MMA Super Heroes cage with the mission of winning and convincing the entire audience that was waiting for them. With more strength in the stand-up fight, Gilson Lomanto started better and knew that his chances were in the stand-up fight, but Leandro “Buscapé” surprised and landed a beautiful kick to the face of his rival who fell. Buscapé finished the fight with ground and pound and came out to celebrate, this was his first knockout in 16 career victories.
“I studied my opponent a lot, I was already training this kick that I use a lot in Karate because they are unpredictable and I knew I needed to surprise them. I needed this knockout, I respect my opponent and I have my feet on the ground.” He said “Buscapé” right after the victory.
Aline Sattelmayer beats favorite Baldan
In the second most important fight of MMA Super Heroes 5, Renata Baldan arrived as favorite after a good victory in MMA Super Heroes 4 and because she had not yet lost in MMA in 3 fights in her career and always putting on a show, but on the other side, Aline Sattelmayer She showed that anything can happen inside the octagon and put on a show by submitting the favorite in the middle of the third round, with a tight rear-naked choke.
New champion is coming
In one of the duels that will define a new champion of the tournament. Murilo Trevizan showed once again that he is one of the great revelations of MMA Super Heroes and took advantage of a great duel against Anderson Pires. After 3 very tough rounds, Murilo overcame his rival by unanimous decision from the judges and will now have the chance to fight for the welterweight belt against Vitor “Negão” who was scheduled to fight Thiago “Pará”, but his rival did not make weight and the fight was cancelled, and the organization decided to give Vitor that chance.
