On September 5th, at UFC Fight Night 50, Ronaldo Jacare finds again in the octagon one of those responsible for one of his few defeats as a professional: the Armenian-Dutch Gegard Mousasi. Despite the emotional component that the chance to fight could add to the duel, Jacaré stated that he approaches the fight in Foxwoods (USA) naturally and, showing a lot of confidence, assured that he is ready to annihilate his opponent.

“The reunion with Mousasi, for me, is like it was just another fight for the UFC. I'm ready to annihilate my opponent and win another victory. I came to be undefeated, I didn't come to lose to anyone. I'm going to stop Mousasi. People have to keep believing in me, because I will be middleweight champion. But my focus now is Mousasi. I have to go through him to claim something, and I will do that. After this fight I will claim the title fight”, said the man from Espírito Santo in an interview with the “Revista Combate” program.

Furthermore, the former champion of the extinct Strikeforce also spoke about his preparation routine and revealed that he had the help of Anderson Silva, who recently had his return to the octagon confirmed for January 31, 2015 against Nick Diaz. “I made a camp very good at X-Gym for this fight. O Anderson Silva gave me a lot of technical support and trained with me, in addition to Rafael Feijão and another group of people who are phenomenal, very technical and strong in judo, boxing... I'm always getting beaten up and evolving (laughs)”, he concluded.

On September 5th, in Foxwoods, in the US state of Connecticut, Ronaldo Jacare e Gegard Mousasi are the main fight of UFC Fight Night 50. The duel is a rematch of a fight held at the Japanese event DREAM and won by the Armenian-Dutch by technical knockout, after pedaling the Brazilian. Jacaré, 34 years old, has a record of 20 wins, three losses and one fight without result. Mousasi, 28 years old, has 35 wins, four defeats and two draws in his professional record.
