Minotouro and four other Brazilians fight this Saturday at UFC on FOX 12

With several Brazilians in action and a chance to fight for the belt at stake, Ultimate holds the 12th edition of UFC on FOX. The event, held in partnership with the organization's partner channel in the United States, highlights the return of Rogério Minotouro to the octagon. Without fighting since February 2013, the brother of Rodrigo Minotauro tries to score his third triumph in the series and get closer to a title shot. Juliana Lima, Gilbert Durinho, Tiago Trator and Hermani Perpetuo are the other representatives of the country in the show.

The main fight of the night will reveal the next challenger for the welterweight belt. Robbie Lawler, who fought an intense battle against the champion John hendricks in March, he tries to get another opportunity for the title against Matt Brown. But the ‘Immortal’, as he is known, comes from seven consecutive triumphs.

Tonight's fight will be Lawler's second since his controversial loss to Hendricks. In May, he faced Jake ellenberger at UFC 173 and won via technical knockout in the third round. Brown is currently experiencing the best moment of his career. In May he fought a battle against the Brazilian Erick silva and won by technical knockout in the third round.

Minotouro and the return to the Octagon

Rogério Minotouro returns to the octagon after a long period away due to injury. The Brazilian veteran faces Anthony Johnson with just one objective: to win the fight so he can return to the top positions in the UFC light heavyweight division.

Coming off a victory over two former champions of the category, Tito Ortiz e Rashad evans, Minotouro hasn't fought since February 2013. Since then, he suffered some injuries that took him out of action, which led to his name being removed from the official UFC rankings. On his return, Minotouro will face fourth place in the category, Anthony Johnson, who hasn't lost in seven fights.
