English fighter Paul Daley has once again returned to a prominent position in world MMA. At 31 years old, “Semtex”, as he is known, signed a contract with Bellator and will compete in the organization that is considered the second largest in the sport on the planet, only behind the UFC.

Daley was marked by the episode that involved his controversial dismissal from the UFC in 2010. Shortly after the end of his fight against Josh koscheck, already aware that he would be defeated by the judges' decision, the Englishman threw a punch at Koscheck from behind. Daley was sent away immediately, and the president of Ultimate, Dana White, guaranteed that the athlete would never perform at the event again.

After that, Daley performed sporadically in several events, such as Strikeforce, Impact FC, Ringside MMA and Bellator itself, where he only had one fight, in 2012. The Englishman still does not have a confirmed date for his re-debut in Bellator, as he will have a fight that was previously scheduled at the BAMMA event, in England, in September.

After confirming the agreement, Daley praised Bellator president Scott Coker, with whom he had previously worked at Strikeforce. “He is an incredible guy. I had some great fights when I was with him at Strikeforce. I'm going to come back crushing some heads, knocking out opponents and chasing [the Bellator champion] Douglas lima”, said Daley, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
