Matt Brown's career represents one of the biggest turning points in MMA today. Four years ago, the American suffered three defeats in a row and his job in the UFC was threatened, but he later managed seven victories in a row and is just one fight away from challenging for the organization's belt.

If you defeat Robbie Lawler at UFC on FOX 12, next Saturday (26), Brown is expected to face the welterweight champion, John hendricks. The change in his career is explained simply by the fighter: “I think I learned over time to think ‘what the hell, I’m f***ing good at what I do’. So damn if you don't like it. I was too humble when I looked at my opponents, and now I think I look at them more objectively”, commented the fighter, according to the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

Brown explained that the approach he takes to his fights makes him more comfortable when fighting. “I don’t want to sound cocky or arrogant. I just feel good about the position I'm in, who I am, and I'm confident because no matter what happens in the fight, I know I gave it my all. When I wake up on Sunday, win or lose, I won't give a fuck, because I know I gave everything I could,” he stated.
