One of the most anticipated fights on the Yarennoka card, an event to be held on December 31st in Japan, Gesias Cavalcante x Shinya Aoki, has been postponed. The confirmation was published on the Japanese fighter's own blog. “As announced, Mr. Cavalcante and I are not going to fight. It's not his fault, as fighters get hurt and there's nothing you can do about it. I promise I will fight on New Year's Eve and do my best. This is the Yarennoka spirit. Help us put on a great show,” wrote Aoki.
Although it has not yet been officially canceled by the organization, the fight should not take place due to JZ still recovering from nose and knee surgeries here in Brazil. There is still no information about a new possible date for the duel between the two.
