José Aldo's response letter against challenger Chad Mendes, released at the end of last week, was not well received by North Americans. In the text, the Brazilian called his rival “lax” and raised suspicions about possible doping by the Team Alpha Male athlete, at one point citing the “supplements” he would use. Through your official profile on Twitter, Mendes released some images of himself, including one in which he appears with his trophies from school wrestling, and published his rejoinder to the featherweight champion.

“Supplements my ov**, José Aldo. While you're at home resting your neck, I'm here sweating it out in the gym. Nothing replaces hard work! Kiss your belt goodbye! #NovoCampeão”, wrote the North American on the microblogging network.

PUBLICITY:

Since the rematch for the featherweight belt between José Aldo e Chad Mendes, the two athletes have exchanged public attacks. The duel between them at UFC 176, which would have taken place on August 2nd, ended up being postponed due to an injury to Aldo – which even led to the cancellation of the event itself. The expectation is that the pair will finally meet again in the Octagon in October, just over two and a half years after their first duel at UFC Rio 2.
