Currently with only three Brazilians on its roster, the UFC women's bantamweight category could see the addition of another athlete from the country soon. That's because multi-time jiu-jistu champion Talita Treta can join Amanda nunes, Jessica Bate-estaca e Bethe Correia in the main organization on the planet. Undefeated in her six MMA fights, Talita revealed that she is already negotiating her move to Ultimate and shared details about her preparation to compete in a new category.

“My manager is talking to Sean Shelby (matchmakers) and that's why I'm already staying in shape and training hard. I always competed in the 74 kg category in jiu-jitsu, so I could cut down to 66 kg in MMA. But the UFC only has a division up to 61,2 kg, so I have to go down to 61,2 kg. I'm staying at 68 kg now, to make it easier for me to cut my weight to the bantamweight limit”, said the athlete, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

Very confident in her skills on the ground, Talita was excited about the chance to put the gentle art into practice in the Octagon and is already dreaming big, even thinking about how to defeat the UFC champion. “I always said that a girl with good jiu-jitsu and a good strategy would beat the Ronda Rousey. She has many flaws in her jiu-jitsu. Maybe I'll even defeat her with an armbar. Who knows?” she concluded.
